Our 8 treatment lawn care program for Fescue lawns has been designed to address the special needs of cool season turf in the Atlanta area. Each treatment is custom-tailored to the conditions of your lawn. From the Early Spring visit to stop those weeds from growing to the Winterizing treatment in the fall for root development, we only use professional grade products to produce superior results.

 

 

EARLY SPRING APPLICATION
The first visit of the year consists of a blend of Nitrogen, pre-emergent herbicide to prevent spring weeds, a post-emergent for existing weeds and a potassium fertilizer to promote root development.

SPRING APPLICATION
This application contains a second treatment of pre-emergent herbicide to prevent crabgrass. Nitrogen and potassium fertilizers are used to make the turf stronger. Post-emergent herbicides are used on existing weeds.

LATE SPRING APPLICATION
This treatment is targeted toward preparing the turf for summer. Our fertilizer for this round contains Chelated Iron to give you superior color. We use balanced fertilizers and post emergent weed control to maintain optimum appearance. We also scout for various insects and diseases and treat the affected areas at no additional cost.

SUMMER APPLICATION
It is best not to fertilize Fescue during the hot summer months. Our application during this time is geared towards building healthy soil. Dolomitic limestone is used to adjust the soil pH, which aids the turfgrass plants in nutrient uptake. We also use post-emergent herbicide on existing weeds.

FALL APPLICATION
Fescue continues to grow throughout the winter. It is important to feed the turf properly going into winter. Our fertilizers for this visit target the root zone and overall vigor of the plant.

LATE FALL APPLICATION
The late Fall and Winter is the peak growing period for Fescue, therefore we will be applying a high nitrogen fertilizer to promote healthy green up and growth of the plant.  Any broadleaf weed breakouts will also be sprayed at this time.

AERATION / SEEDING
We highly recommend aerating all turf areas once per year. In addition, Fescue MUST BE reseeded every fall for an optimum lawn during the winter. These services are available for additional cost. Call us for a quotation.
